While I was doing the Hope Church Singapore "God With Us" conference Day 8 devotion, titled "Embracing Discomfort – God with Moses", and singing along with Hillsong's "Oceans", God gently brought my heart back to a precious moment in Israel.

I was on a boat on the Sea of Galilee — the very waters where Jesus once walked and called Peter to step out in faith. It was there that I encountered His presence so deeply. My spirit was lifted and refreshed. It was as if the waves themselves whispered His nearness.’

Just as Jesus called Peter not to fear the storm-tossed waves, I sense the Lord calling us — His people — to rise above our own turbulent circumstances. He is reminding us that He is faithful. Whatever challenges we face, His presence goes with us, just as He went with Moses.

We are called to press on boldly in the mission God has placed in our hearts. Like the Butterfly Effect — where small actions can lead to great impact — our single step of faith can ripple outward, inspiring others and advancing the Kingdom of God in ways we cannot yet see.

Let us embrace the discomfort, walk on the waters of uncertainty, and trust the One who calls us. Every bold step we take in obedience can become a divine echo, transforming lives beyond our imagination.
